I am trying to figure out how to sharpen projection chasers for a 9/16 D geometric die head. One place I called offered fixtures for the surface grinder but were out of stock. Does any body here have any information on a way to fixture them. I was told tht you grind back the projection and then regrind the chamfer to re-sharpen.

Hi Tom, thanks for the advice. The heads are radial and are currently listed in MSC. The 5/16 head is a DSA and one of the 9/16 is the same but larger. The other 9/16 is an internal trip. I don't know how to release the chasers on this one or how to adjust it for lenght of threaded section before opening.
The Coventry Die-Head comes in lots of different sizes but I haven't yet succeeded in identifying the size of the one I have. You'll also see lots of listings for sets of chasers for the Coventry Die-Head on eBay. In your second photo, it looks as though the screw is damaged - is that a camera angle problem?
