Yo dude, it verticle or horizontal just means where the drive shaft is. you know the part that actually turns, where you would connect something to make your wheels turn, is it on the side or on the bottom? On the vanguards, the oil pump is located in in the bottom, close to the oil. The horizontal and verticals have the pump in different locations for this reason.
